ARKSpringPests

Some pests know no boundaries and no seasons. They just come (and don’t go) as they please. But there are some pests who have a pattern that hasn’t changed since the beginning of time. Some pests enjoy the Natural State in Spring as much as we do! Below you can see a few you should expect to receive a visit from in your Arkansas home or business.

  1. Ants. Did you know there are over 700 species of this insect? Did you know that the largest colony of ants was discovered in Japan in 2000 and that it housed 306 million worker ants and 1 million queens with 45,000 nests spanning an area of over 670 acres? It’s easy to see why this super strong and organized group of bugs is so common and incredibly hard to get rid of. The first thing a Command expert will do is locate the source and determine the damage the infestation has caused.
  1. Termites. Did you know subterranean termites are the most destructive species of termite and they are BIG fans of Arkansas? They love the warm weather and your home is the perfect meal to get them through the winter and on into spring. So far we have not discovered a DIY pest control that works for these critters due to their ability to spread throughout a home and do damage so quickly.
  1. Wood rat. Did you know the eastern wood rat is native to Arkansas and it can have up to 3 litters a year with up to 3 wood rat babies in each litter? If that’s not an unexpected and uninvited guest, we’re not sure what it is. This type of rat loves to “collect” your jewelry and other shiny pieces to add to its nest so if you’re suspicious of an infestation near your home, consider a safe.

The only way to truly prevent or lessen your chances of an infestation by any of these Arkansas pests or home-damaging critters is to call the Command Pest Control experts.
